The Heart of Care App, Made Plain
How to put Heart of Care on your phone, take it offline, keep it fresh, and unstick it on the rare day it sulks.
Can I put Heart of Care on my phone like an app?
Yes — and it's free, no app store needed.
- iPhone: open the site in Safari, tap the Share button, then Add to Home Screen.
- Android: open the site in Chrome. A banner pops up after a few seconds, or open the menu and tap Install app.
Does it cost anything? Will I get charged later?
No. It's the same website wearing app clothes. No store account, no developer fee, no subscription.
Why doesn't the install banner show up on my iPhone?
Apple only lets Safari install web apps on iPhone. If you're in Chrome or Firefox, open the site in Safari instead, then use Share → Add to Home Screen.
Will it work without internet?
Pages you've already visited will open offline — handy on the couch with spotty Wi-Fi or in the car. Brand new pages still need a connection. When you're offline you'll see a small pill at the top of the screen.
How do I get the latest version?
Open the app. If there's a new version, a card appears bottom-right that says "A fresh version is ready." Tap Reload — done.
The app feels stuck on an old version. What do I do?
Try these in order — most folks never need past #1:
- Fully close the app and reopen it.
- In any browser, visit heart-of-care.life/?sw=off — that wipes the offline cache.
- Long-press the icon on your home screen, remove it, then install fresh from the site.
Will the app track me or send notifications?
No push notifications. Same privacy posture as the website itself — nothing extra just because you installed it.
Can I uninstall it?
Yes. Long-press the icon and remove it. The website is still right where it always was.
