What does Heart of Care provide?+

Certified peer support, community navigation, trauma-informed wellness education, recovery support, grief and ambiguous-loss support, hoarding and organization help, practical personal care, and creative resources like workbooks and the Red Bullet mobile mission. I also teach coping skills, facilitate check-ins through the Honeycomb, and help people build a plan around the Eight Dimensions of Wellness.

Can you prescribe or manage my medication?+

No. I do not provide medication services. I am not a prescriber, psychiatrist, or clinical provider. If you need medication management, prescribing, psychiatric evaluation, or any other clinical service, you will need to receive those through another provider.

How do I get medication or psychiatric care?+

I can help you get connected to a provider. I keep my own list of providers I feel good recommending, and I will tell you honestly when I have a stronger recommendation than what is being actively pushed in the community. Reach out through the Contact page or stop by the Red Bullet and I will point you toward the right next step.

Do you take insurance?+

I operate as a sole proprietor / LLC under the DBA 99 Retreat. Heart of Care is a peer-led, community-based service. For payment questions, the best thing is to contact me directly so we can talk about what you need and what works.

What are the rules for working with you?+

Plain ones: you will not waste my time or energy, you will not steal from me, and you will not lie to me. I offer total honesty in return. If you cannot meet those expectations, you do not need my services — you need services elsewhere, and I will still point you in the right direction.

How do I sign up for the Sunday weekly recap or emails?+

Sign in and go to Email Preferences in your account. You can opt in or out of the Sunday weekly recap and choose which messages you want. You can also update preferences through a token link inside any recap email.

Can I request coping-skills training for my agency or jail?+

Yes. Use the Request Coping-Skills Training form. It includes fields for agencies, detention centers, and police departments. I offer Certified Peer Specialist-led, trauma-informed coping skills for both staff and the people they serve.

How do I support the sanctuary or shop?+

Visit the Shop for workbooks, handmade items, and Honey Badger Botanicals. You can also volunteer, donate supplies, or spread the word about the Red Bullet mobile mission. Every purchase and referral helps keep the doors open and the animals fed.

No guessing. No runaround. Just honest community care.
