I'm Briana F. Harden, CPS-MH (Certified Peer Specialist, Mental Health) and a certified Peer Bridger Trainee, based in Brunswick, Georgia. I do the work nobody bills for: the phone calls, the paperwork, the ride, the sitting-with.
What I help with
- Peer support — one-on-one, in person or by phone. $20/hour, sliding scale.
- Advocacy — showing up with you at appointments, hearings, and offices where people talk over you.
- Benefits & paperwork — Medicaid, SSI/SSDI, housing applications, records requests.
- Recovery navigation — finding the clinician, group, or program that actually takes your insurance.
- Grief support — including ambiguous grief: estrangement, addiction, dementia, distance.
- Transportation & personal care assistance — practical hands, not just words.

- What is a Certified Peer Specialist?
- A Certified Peer Specialist (CPS-MH) is someone in recovery themselves, trained and certified by the state to walk beside you — not above you. I've lived mental health recovery, grief, and poverty. I use that lived experience as a working tool, not a sad story.
- What does peer support in Glynn County actually look like?
- Sitting with you while you make the phone call you've been dreading. Riding along to the appointment. Filling out the Medicaid or SSI paperwork at the kitchen table. Meeting at Waffle House because that's where you feel safe. Texting at 9pm when the panic hits.
- How much does it cost?
- $20 an hour. If you cannot pay, say so and we work it out — nobody in Glynn County gets turned away over money. Shop purchases and donations on this site fund the free hours.
- Are you a therapist or a counselor?
- No. I'm a peer, not a clinician. I don't diagnose, prescribe, or provide therapy. I work alongside your clinical team, or I help you find one if you don't have one yet.
