The Honey Badger and everybody at the Cat Nap Inn have been busy. Not pretend busy. Not inbox busy. Hands-on busy. The kind where there is glitter on the fridge, ribbon on the table, scraps in the floor, and something halfway beautiful waiting for the next touch.
We've been making handmade magnets — the real kind, not factory kind. Buttons, paper, shimmer, old images, little scraps of story, and whatever else wanted to join the party. Tiny pieces, but not tiny work. There is love in every bit of it.
We've also been cutting up materials for Soul Cloth. Strips stacked. Pieces sorted. The soft work laid out before the stitching ever starts. Sometimes the holy part is not the finished thing. Sometimes it is the cutting, the stacking, the getting-ready.
The studio table has been telling on us too. Glue, ribbon, paint bottles, old cards, scissors, dried bits and pieces, and a whole lot of making. That is what life has looked like around here lately: a little messy, very alive, and full of intention.
We're building the website the same way we're building the work — by hand, with real life still happening all around it.
I've been working in the community too — spending time with elders and neighbors and other folks whose stories matter. And while all of that living is going on, I'm also working on the Eight Dimensions of Wellness and getting that material onto the website in a way that sounds like me and means something when it lands.
That's the update from the porch: handmade magnets, Soul Cloth cuttings, community work, and the Eight Dimensions getting written into the site one honest piece at a time. We are moving forward. God loves you. And you are more than enough.
