This piece is called Reliquary of the Tender Wild. A reliquary is a small sacred vessel — historically built to hold something holy. This one holds the tender wild parts of a life: the softness and the grit, side by side, under glass, honored instead of hidden.
What it means (trauma-informed care, in one small frame)
In trauma-informed care we say the wound is not the whole story. The tender part is not weakness, and the wild part is not damage — both are how a person survived. This reliquary is a visual permission slip: you're allowed to be soft and fierce. You're allowed to be pretty and haunted. You're allowed to keep the parts of yourself that other people tried to throw away.
The cameo at the center is the witness — the woman who sees. The pearls are the small ordinary graces strung together. The netting is the years of catching yourself. The paper rose in the corner is the softness that refused to die. The dried botanicals are proof that something once green kept its shape.

There is only one of these. I don't make editions of reliquaries — each one is built once, from what's in front of me that day, in the Cat Nap Inn kitchen at the 99 Retreat Farm. When it's gone, it's gone.
